Mali ends Kenya's World Cup dream

Harambee Stars' dream of a maiden World Cup qualification is virtually over after they crashed 1- 0 to Les Aigles of Mali at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday

Ibrahim Konte's 54th minute strike was all the visitors needed to dim the Stars in their own backyard.

Following the outcome, Mali have consolidated their spot at the apex of the log with 10 points.

Uganda, who beat Rwanda 1-0 in Kampala, are second with eight points. Both nations stand a chance to advance depending on how they wrap up their fixtures.

Kenya's remaining encounters against Uganda and Rwanda have been reduced to a formality.
